HSS Wire Gauge Drill bits made from M2 Steel
Number drills fill the gaps between fractional sizes, so you can hit the exact hole you need when a fractional bit won’t get you close enough. They’re the go-to bits for tap drill sizing and thread prep on smaller taps.
Made from high speed steel and ground from solid, these jobber length drills are built to cut clean, hold size, and outlast cheap bits that walk, dull out, or snap under pressure.
The 135° split point starts fast, stays on location, and reduces walking, giving you more control in steel and general metal drilling.
Most sizes ship in a black and gold finish. Some smaller sizes are still black oxide. Both finishes help with lubricity and chip flow in everyday use.
